Recent Purchased things

After back to Japan, I purchased some goods for biking and life.

One is shoes for usual use.
It is Soucany "Outlaw" shoes.
Soucany released many colorful running shoes, however this Outlow is Black color!! They said, Outlaw is for XC running looks heavy-duty!!

It is very light weight!! And good fit for my feet.
So, my Euro size is 42.5.

Sole stiffness is very good tuned I think. I purchased from UK, price is about 6500JPY, but in Japan shop is 13000JPY!! Twice!!

Another is head light for my bicycle.
Usually I ride to bike in early morning on 5:00 or 5:30. Summer season is already after sunrise, not necessary head light, however now sunrise time is over 6:00, middle winter is 6:50!! I have to equip head light and switch on!! For safety.

My choice is Cateye HL-EL540RC

If ride in no light road, I can see road condition well!!

Battery is 4X AA size(rechargeable)
On time is about 5hours. It is suitable for my usual use. If I ride in dark longtime, I have more 4 AA batteries.

This light is so big and heavy, but it's safe!!

Business trip to Europe 2011 Oct part1

Hi, I went to Europe 2 weeks trip, now fighting to jet lag!!

This trip is 4th time in this year for me. It's special year?!

1st day 17th/Oct
Leave from Japan to Germany first.
I took bus for Narita airport, usually 2.5hours running, but over 3hours due to heavy traffic jam by heavy accident....no....
I hope nobody had heavy injury....

Arrive Narita to boarding was very smooth, no trouble and had very relax time in JAL lounge...little bit too much drunk.

Flight was 12hours...too long. Watch two movies...had enough time bored...feel pain on my back...

After 12hours, arrived Frankfurt main airport safely. However I had to move to Baden Baden by DB train.

I took ICE at airport, 2 times transfer at Mannheim and Karlsruhe.
First ICE was on time operation, but next ICE was 20 minutes delay....I think I could not take next IC at Karlsruhe station... But IC also 30minutes delay. I was lucky?!

Finally, I arrived hotel in Baden Baden. Eat some food and drink beer. 24hours from leave my house... Tired!!! Go to sleep!!


Next morning, I surprised I saw view from hotel window. This hotel is in grape plant!!!!

18th/Oct.
Meeting in component supplier.
It wad completely "away game"!! Because meeting with 6 German guys!! I am alone!! Wahaha.

But face to face meeting had so high efficiency!! Could see faces directly, and could use white board and drawings!!

19th/Oct
Meeting again same company for more detail technical discussion, another company guys joined. Very interested!!

After meeting, I moved to Aachen city with another company guys by car. 400km moving. We had two times heavy traffic jam.......

Aachen city is beautiful city.

20th/Oct

In Germany, Sunrise time is later than Japan. Still dark on 7:30am.

Meeting all day. After that I moved to Dusseldorf by DB regional train. I will join to my boss who will arrive Dusseldorf on night.

Meeting!!!
In evening, every Japanese restraint was very clowd!!....we had dinner in Nikko hotel....

Next morning, we have to leave this city heading for Bergium!!

I wanna go WOA someday!!

In this few years, I visit Germany many time for business. But never much to Wacken Open Air metal festival!!

Hiroshima Trip

I went to Hiroshima city with my family on 30th/Sep to 2nd/Oct.
For me second time visit, last time was 25years ago.

Lot of houses were in here, completely destroyed!!

66 years ago, Atomic bomb has been exploded and Hiroshima city was completely destroyed. But now this city is very good city beautiful view and good food.
If Dome and memorial park are not here, we can not imagine about bombing in city.
We have to never forget!!

We did ride tram in city lot of time. Because it is very convenience and my boy is loving trains!

And we went to Miyajima. It's world heritage place. It's awesome view!

Access to Miyajima, we have to use ship, Miyajima is island.

It's really nice place!!

We had good foods and some beer.
I love Okonomiyaki with Hiroshima style!!!

My weekend is shifted

This year 2011 is quite special year for all Japanese people. As you know terrible huge earthquake and tsunami attacked and nuclear power plant accident.

Of course, I can work almost normal.
I don't say anything I think about north of Japan area.....

I am working in commercial vehicle produce company. Almost car makers are shifting weekend in this summer for energy saving.

I feel very strange....every morning I can't understand what is today. Little bit confused.

My motivation is not increase!!!
Because it's different between my weekend and my wife weekend.
And in my case, I can contact to European cooperation companies only 3days in week.

Probably, shifted weekend will be used in next year and next and so on......
Who will check this years effect??
I will check by own after shifted weekend season.

Very special month for me part 1

Hi, already half past this year...so fast.
Last month (May) was very special month for me.
Because I went to Europe two times during three weeks, same companies. It's crazy I think.

Visit to many cities and met lot of people. So exhausted but had very fun time!! Europe is summer time, sunset time is too late. Tokyo is before 19:00, Germany is around 22:00!! Little bit strange.

One month has passed

Today is 11th April.
One month has passed since the tragic earthquake occurred.....

Aftershock of 3.11 M9.0 is still continue.
I am not sure when it is calm down....

So, Reactors of nuclear power plant is still keep stable.
We want to say to our government and TEPCO, "We want to know correct information of plant condition and radiation level!!" and "Who is the Leader??"

I have to do possible my self day by day.

Motor Fan illustrated magazine

Hi,

As I wrote, I am a Vehicle transmission designer on my blog profile page.
I purchased a magazine is "Motor Fan illustrated MT/DCT issue" from Japanese publisher.

It has so many transmission photos, beautiful illustrates and interesting texts.
If you like car or mechanics, it is impressive magazine for you.

So this issue's special is mechanism of "Manual transmission" and "Duel Clutch Transmission".
Notes; typical DCT is VW DSG system, do you know?

In japan, almost passenger car equipped CVT. However, in Europe, they moves from MT to DCT now. Because it is different drive condition between each other countries.
In this magazine, they said DCT is best slution for passenger car....really??
I think which is best depends on aprication, destination, cost and other demands.

Near future, CO2 reduction demands will be increased. Engine displacement should be decrease, Hybrid system will be more used. We have to more deeply consider which transmission solution is best!! So I don't say, somebody did said same.

What function of transmission is most important?
Optimize to engine torque and speed in any vehicle driving condition!!
And torque transmit efficiency!
It is my personal opinion.

Anyway, I am incharge of commercial vehicle transmission development.
Please write in Motor Fan regarding technology of transmission for truck.
Heavy duty truck transmission is The State of the Art I think.
Example,
Formula1 has AMT system, many year ago, HDTruck uses 12speed AMT system. Of course controlled by wire.
And newly system is calculating fuel consumption of engine for gear shift management.

Passenger car world is interesting. Also Heavy duty world is very interesting!

Next trip to Europe

Hi,


I am planing to next business trip to Europe.
I will visit to Germany, Swiss and Austria (Not fixed yet). It was so cold on last time visit in last December. I hope it will be warm!!


Honestly, I have not enough time because I will visit to four companies in five days....so many move.
If possible, I would like to stay more some days, but I can't approve from my boss....This is business.


Swiss trip, 
I went to Swiss over ten years ago. I am grad to visit again.
But I have no time for site seeing!!! haha.


I will be extreme busy......may be.

2 days meeting with European guys

Hi,

These 2 days, I had meeting with European cooperation company guys for my working. This time meeting is technical discussion. It's was very impressed experience for me. But so tired...I had to use English!!

Thier working style, technical backbone and management are deferent to us. In other hand, same situation for them. But technical documents are common language for each other.

So, our young staff joined meeting. I have to transfer correctly technical interigence and our experience. It is very difficult, but I have to consider how to do this.
I think this issue is "big problem" for all company in the world....

Anyway, off business time, lunchtime and yesterday night dinner.
We invited them to Typical Japanese style restaurant is call "Yakitori house".
They were very relax and talk about many things, we also enjoyed!!
They could eat raw fish "Sashimi" in last night. We did suggest to them for lunch, go to Sushi-shop!!

Today, they went to Sushi-shop, of course moving dish style shop (very cheap!!)
They very enjoyed and said "This style Sushi-shops are in Europe, but fish is not so fresh and not so much kind of fish, it is very good!!"
I relieved...because I had so much kindness from them in Europe then I went.

We promise to them, invite to "Ramen shop" on next time in Tokyo!!

I have to transfer to young guys and other guys my experiense (business issue and night life issue, hahaha)

New year holiday is over

Hi,

My new years holiday is over, started this years work from today. I hope you and your family had good holiday.

This time holiday, weather was very good at Tokyo. I could see very beautiful view (sunrise, sunset, Mt. Fuji and around my home)

I enjoyed relax time with my family. Especially walking with my boy. (kid growth is very fast!!)
And of course, I did ride roadbike or fixedgear everyday.

So, I have commitment for myself.
It's reduce my weight!! -5kg!! Until before next summer.

I have to fight to cold morning!! (for ride bike)

Tokyo is very fine sky. I did ride bicycle for watch to first sunrise in early morning.
Temperature was -3 centigrade, so cold!!

First day of new year holiday

Hi,

This year my work was finished on yesterday.
Last night, I went to my favorite bar with guys and drunk sooooooo much!! I did back to home on 2:00 am.

Of course, I could not wake up early morning. Feel so baaaad when wake up on 10:00am.

Today's my task is my wife's asking. I have to make new year greeting card ( Nengajo in Japanese) and print!

So, after that, I went to around city with fixedgear bike.

My home town is about 100km from Mt. Fuji.

3rd is today's partner.
Affinity kissena. I think I will replace saddle to alione by fizik because I could not move on saddle. I will try tomorrow morning.

Last two days in this year.
I have to ride in early morning, in day time, I have to shopping many foods and play with my boy!! More busy than my working????

I should go to sleep.
